What do you charge for your services?
P.R.O.O.F. does not charge for any paranormal services or resources provided. If you or someone you know has or is paying for paranormal services, you have chosen the wrong organization.
Is there more than one type of haunting?
Yes, there are many types of haunting’s, however, the three most common and significant types of haunting’s are residual, demonic and intelligent.
Can spirits follow you home?
Yes, spirits do have the capability and often the desire to follow an individual home. Spirit attachment is a common definition used to describe an event wherein, a spirit or entity is attracted to an individual’s personal and/or individualized characteristics. What people in general tend to dismiss is the reality that spirits were at one time just like you and me: “human beings.” Some people have certain qualities and physical attributes that attract certain spirits. Whether the circumstances are that you remind that spirit of someone or that you have a specific personality trait that reminds the spirit of him/her self or life in general. This in turn can result in spirit attachment or attraction.
What is the difference between spirit attachment and welcoming a spirit home with you?
Welcoming a spirit or entity home with you differs greatly from spirit attachment and this is why. Spirit attachment or attraction is not a choice where as welcoming a spirit to come home with you is. When you willingly and with knowing intent invite a spirit or entity to follow you home you are opening a door for what could be a potentially harmful situation. Opening a door allows ANY spirit or inhuman entity to invade your life and your home. By doing this you are giving this “Spirit” permission to do what it wants when it wants. Spirits are like people, there is good and there is evil. WARNING: If you are going to open a door and welcome a spirit into your life you better be prepared to defend yourself and your loved ones at all costs and to deal with whatever consequences may indeed follow.

How much does P.R.O.O.F. charge for a public presentation?
P.R.O.O.F. does not charge for public talks or presentations. Founder Joseph Gallant finds great pleasure in guiding the public in the right direction when concerning the paranormal. Educating others about the paranormal and providing collected evidence is a large part of our mission.
How can I start my own group or paranormal society?
We suggest that you seek out others that have similiar supernatural interests. There are more people interested in the paranormal than you or I could possibly imagine. Researching on the internet is a great place to start forming a team and finding venues for investigation.
Does P.R.O.O.F. employ the use of psychics or mediums for investigative purposes?
No, P.R.O.O.F. does not employ the use of psychic phenomenon or clairvoyant mediums. P.R.O.O.F’s evidence is backed up by scientific metholody.
Do P.R.O.O.F Members travel to different parts of the state to investigate?
Yes, P.R.O.O.F investigates all areas of CT as well as all areas of New England thus to include Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. P.R.O.O.F. also will travel within, a 6 hour radius to conduct investigations and presentations..
What is a sensitive?
A sensitive is identified as an individual that has the probable capability and gift to predict when a spirit is present and in which form the spirit reveals itself.
What is the difference between an ordinary Orb and a Class “A” Orb?
An ordinary Orb is described and defined as the resemblance of energy whereas a class “A” orb resembles a physical substance within (ie: face, arm, hand, etc)
What do the different colors of Orbs identify?
Red – Negative energy that’s not necessarily evil or demonic in nature. May identify a stressed or restlessness entity.
Light Blue – Peace, Tranquility
Dark Blue – Shielding, Shyness, Survivor Instinct

What is a Vortex?
The definition of a Vortex is described as a concentrated yet brief area of high electromagnetic energy. Often a vortex appears as a solid (opaque) white or silver tube, rod, or elongated oval. They can also appear to be braided like a rope or a chain. A vortex is not an entity, or spiritual being. However, a vortex can produce a stream-like entryway to paranormal phenomenon or a gateway for spiritual entities to enter our existence. There are many different ways that people in general describe vortexes. Some believe that it is the mere result of electromagnetic fields clashing while some believe that a vortex is simply an electronic misrepresentation (defect). However, for us paranormal researchers a vortex or portal is one of many doorways for the supernatural to enter the physical plane.
What are cold spots?
Cold spots are described in our modern day as a small secluded area of intense cold at least 10-15 degrees colder than the surrounding area. Cold spots cannot readily be explained by other natural or mechanical causes (i.e. air conditioning, a drafty window, ice, snow or breath). Generally when a” haunting” or “poltergeist” is active, cold spots are prevalent throughout the home/area and even more so can be readily measured in specific areas of the dwelling where most activity has been documented. Cold spots or changes in temperature can be accurately read with an infrared thermometer.
What is automatic writing or channeling?
Automatic writing or channeling is the ability to write intelligible messages without conscious control of what is being written. This technique is often used in summoning rituals. Individuasl or groups attempt to channel a spirit or entity into their body as means of communication. This method has the potential to be very dangerous. As with all channeling methods (Ouija boards, crystals, witch boards, etc) you are opening a gateway in which you have little or no control over who or what may come through.
What Is Ectoplasm?
Ectoplasm is defined when a physical substance manifests as a result of spiritual energy or psychic phenomenon, Ectoplasm can manifest into variable forms (i.e. mist, smoke, or spheres of reflective light.)
What is E.V.P?
E.V.P – or Electronic Voice Phenomena – is a mysterious event in which human-sounding voices from an unknown source are heard on recording tape, in amid static and other electronic media. Most often E.V.Ps have been captured on audiotape. The mysterious voices are not heard at the time of recording it is only when the tape is played back that the voices are heard. Sometimes amplification and noise filtering is required to hear the voices. Some E.V.P’s are more easily heard and understood than others. EVP’s can vary in gender, age, language, tone and emotion. They usually speak in single-words, phrases and short sentences. Sometimes they are just grunts, groans, growling and other vocal noises. E.V.P’s are categorized in three separate but equally significant classes. (Class “A”, Class “B”, and Class “C”)
Class “A” the rarest however most significant identifies any disembodied voice that can be heard loud and clear and without misinterpretation or debate as to what’s being said.
Class “B” the most common which identifies any disembodied voice that can be heard however with debate to it’s meaning. It comes through sounding sort of like a whisper.
Class “C” also a common E.V.P which identifies any disembodied voice, change in frequency, growl or groan that is very difficult to decipher and is often debunked.
What is an apparition?
An appariton is the physical outline, shadow or full scale image of a spirits physical being. Spirits can take physical form and identify themselves in either full physical form or partial physical form.
What is Instrumental Tran’s Communication?
Instrumental Trans Communication (I.T.C) is a technical term for “White Noise.” This method of spirit contact and communication utilizes an energy source (i.e. television static, amid static, etc) to manipulate the magnetic field for spirit communication. Spirits feed of off human and natural energy by providing the entity with a viable source of natural or manipulated energy. Spirits can communicate with us and in many instances even identify themselves.
What is a Residual Haunting?
A residual haunting is when a ghost, spirit or entity is not directly involved with the living. It is much like a repeat or playback of an audio tape or cassette. Residual haunting (s) is simply a re-run of auditory, visual and other sensory phenomenon. A residual haunting is sort of like an echo from the past. When a residual haunting is in effect the entities involved do not acknowledge our existence.
What is an Intelligent Haunting?
An intelligent haunting is categorized as an interactive haunting wherein the entity has the audio capability to hear you and respond, the physical capability to move or shift objects and the ability to manipulate energy thus producing manifestation capibility.
What is the difference between a haunting and a poltergeist?
Hauntings are spirits of deceased human beings appearing frequently in certain places at certain times. Whereas a poltergeist is an inhuman entity that attaches to either a specific location or individual and is generally linked to a demonic nature. Hauntings are most commonly linked to a specific place, area or tragic way of death.
The differences between poltergeist activity and a haunting can be hard to distinguish. In the early stages of a poltergeist it may be nearly impossible. Haunts and poltergeists do share similar characteristics such as apparitions, strange noises, odors, moving or disappearing objects, etc.
Poltergeists are usually linked directly to a specific person or object. Hauntings are appearances of entities in areas known to the deceased before their deaths. Poltergeists can be triggered by a living person’s trauma generally a teenage girl. Whereas an ordinary haunting is continuous over time and concentrated in the same area.
Poltergeists build up over time to a climax and then start over. They can travel anywhere. Hauntings are not typically violent. Most poltergeists nearing the climax of their energy can become dangerous to the living thus inflicting both mental and physical torment. If you happen to meet with one of this kind, deal with it with the utmost care.
What is a demon or diabolical entity?
A demon or diabolical entity is used to describe the inhuman manifestation of energy. Demons and diabolical forces possess all the sensory and physical capabilities to take over or possess the body of a living being. Demons and diabolical entities manipulate the psychological and emotional fears of a vulnerable physical being in order to possess full control of the individual.
What is I.P.A.?
I.P.A, short for Interpersonal Approach, is a technique divised by P.R.O.O.F and used for spirit communication. Thousands of paranormal researchers and ghost seekers around the world utilize what they consider the most proper and effective approaches as to communicating with those that have departed. However, spirit communication requires an interpersonal approach. This approach/technique allows the entity to familiarize him/her self with the investigator thus affording more effective and frequent communication between the two.
What is E.M.F?
E.M.F stands for Electromagnetic Field Detection. An E.M.F detector reads and measures electromagnetic fluctuations. Spirits often project electromagnetic energy which in-hand can be measured with the E.M.F. Thus making it easier to capture spirit manifestation on camera or audio.
What is spirit photography?
Spirit photography is the capturing of spirit energy or manifestation on film.
What is an infrared thermometer and what is this devices purpose?
Infrared thermometers can readily measure cold spots and change in temperature. Spirit energy often produces a dramatic change or fluctuation in temperature.
What is demonic possession?
Demonic possession is often the result of ritual occultism nevertheless most demonic possessions are attracted to people of low self worthiness and esteem and who are vulnerable in nature. Diabolical entities or inhuman spirits feed off fear and emotional instability. Possession can be physical wherein the entity takes full control over a person’s physical being. Possession can be psychological wherein the entity manipulates emotional and/or mental stability. A demonic entity can also physically harm you and your loved ones. Additionally inhuman spirits can sexually assault you although these assaults are very uncommon (or just not documented properly). An incubus describes a male entity that sexually assaults. A succubus is a female entity that sexually assaults.
What is a Ouija Board?
Ouija board or otherwise spirit oracle was originally manufactured by Hasbro’s “Parker Brothers” as a “game”. However this supposed game is infamously known for spirit contact and communication. Some believe that the use of the Ouija board is evil and opens doors to unknown terror. Nevertheless this has no scientific or valid evidence to it’s validity. P.R.O.O.F. will not advise anyone to use this technique for spirit communication nor will we try and convince you otherwise if indeed you wish to venture into the dark arts.
What is a Demonologist and how can they assist in paranormal investigations?
Demonology is the study of demons and diabolical forces. Demonologists assist in banishing and clearing a home or individual under demonic attack (possession). Demonologists specialize in the dark arts and inhuman spirits.
What is a parapsychologist and how can they assist in paranormal investigations?
Parapsychologists specialize in the complexities of natural/earthbound spirits. They also study the evidence for such psychological phenomena as psychokinesis, telepathy and clairvoyance.
What is P.R.O.O.F’s Spirit Level System (SLS)?
P.R.O.O.F. categorizes different types of haunting’s by utilizing what is identified as the spirit level system. The level system consists of 6 separate but equally significant levels with 1 being the least threatening and 6 being the most threatening. Below you will read each level as it is described in contents.
Level (1): Describes any haunting within a private residence, cemetery, or public domain that possesses no intellectual capabilities to communicate with the living. Level (1) is categorized as a non-threatening non-influential occurrence also referred to as a “Residual Haunting”.
Level (2): describes any haunting within a private residence, burial-ground or public domain that possesses intellectual capabilities to communicate with the living. Additionally this level of haunting has the potential capability to manifest. Level (2) haunting’s can also be referred to as an “Intelligent Haunting”.
Level (3): Describes any haunting within a private residence, burial-ground and/or public domain wherein the residing energy-force possesses the intellectual capabilities to communicate upon request with the living. Within a level (3) haunting the spirit in question also has the physical capability to move objects and make physical contact with the living. A level (3) haunting is referred to as an “Intellectual Haunting.”
Level (4): Describes any haunting’s within a cemetery, private residence, or public domain that posesses combination energy. Combination energy identifies both a residual haunting and an intelligent haunting combined. Level (4) is unpredictable and can differ in severity. Also referred to as “E-Combo.”
Level (5): Identifies any haunting within a private residence, burial-ground or public domain that is demonic in nature and possesses the physical capabilities to take full or partial control over a physical being (possession). This type of haunting/entity has the mental capability to coerce and/or manipulate the living into doing things that they ordinarily would not. Additionally Level (5) has probable capabilities to manifest into a full-blown poltergeist. Level (5) haunting is known as a Demonic Haunting “Deviant Entity”.
Level (6): is by far one of the most threatening in nature and potentially violent haunting’s in the spirit level system. Level (6) is used to describe any haunting that is either malevolent or demonic in-nature. This level of haunting is generally present in homes where a tragic death occurred or otherwise in an area where dark-magic or ritualistic occultism was in play. These entities possess all of the above-mentioned capabilities and than some. Demonic haunting’s or otherwise diabolical entities possess the physical, mental, intellectual, intelligent, and vocal capabilities to interact with the living through the use of manipulation and force. Level (6) is both violent in nature and has the potential to be life threatening. Level (6) entities have the capabilities and often the urge to move or throw objects thus including heavy furniture. Level (6) hauntings also have the capability to hit or strike the living this including violent and unpredictable outbursts of aggression. Level (6) entities have the capability to possess the living or take partial control of a living beings mind (mental stability). This category of haunting is similar to the story-base line of the classic horro movie the Poltergeist or The Entity. Level (6) is refered to as a poltergeist.
